Chapter 20 discussed many things but fascism is one of them and it was saying it sought to revitalize and purge the nation for some great cause and it hated both democracy and communism. It was also discussing how the first world war happened and meanwhile the amends it made with other countries in the world like Germany, Italy, Hungarian Empire and Austro. The Treaty of Versailles was also introduced in this time and it showed the conditions that had to be met up with the empires. And later found the political belief system fascism. While I was conducting some research I found out a few things about fascism and one of them is a form of far-right, authoritarian ultranationalism characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition, and strong regimentation of society and of the economy which came to prominence in early 20th-century Europe. So, basically this was telling me it was some kind of power to the society back in those ancient times. And it is a form of government that is a type of one-party dictatorship. They work for a totalitarian one-party state. This aim is to prepare the nation for armed conflict, and to respond to economic difficulties. Fascism puts nation and race above the individual. This research I found was very helpful; to me to understand more about this concept for my learning. I feel like fascism is in the rise of the world today. I believe this because I think it true the government does put the nation and race above anyone. Because today we still have racial issues and the government cares mostly about the economy running and not the people. The president we have today proves that a lot to this world especially with all that is going on with the virus. The government is on the rise to fascism.
